Northside Radiology Associates, PC (NRA) is a large 70+ physician private practice group based in Atlanta, Georgia. They are the largest radiology practice in the metropolitan Atlanta area and 25th largest group in the United States.
NRA provides subspecialized professional radiology services to the Northside Hospital system, which include 3 hospitals and 52 outpatient imaging facilities spread across 17 counties in Georgia.

Northside Radiology’s large scale of operations presents communication challenges. Organizational contact directory information has been siloed in multiple media, including isolated electronic documents, personal phone contacts, and paper lists.

These images illustrate the inefficiencies of current paper-based directories. Multiple contact lists are tacked haphazardly on a cork board. Unfortunately, this scenario is all too familiar in radiology reading rooms. The problems with traditional directories illustrated here are inherent in the media on which information is stored. Paper lists will always be difficult to navigate, distribute, and maintain for physician groups. Electronic media such as Excel or Word documents are limited by the accessibility of the specific software required for viewing or modification. All users of directories, particularly physicians, need to be able to quickly find, manage, and share contact information.

How Measurecare Helps: mContacts

Measurecare has simplified team communication by consolidating multiple directories across NRA sites into one secure cloud-based platform. This information is made available for users on their mobile device through the mContacts mobile app. Users quickly find and reach their contact through the searchable directory lists. Since launching in August 2017, the app has seen 97% user adoption and has become an integral communication tool. More than two thirds of NRA users use the app at least once a week.

Directory information is easily managed by NRA administrators using the app. This ensures that contacts information is curated and presented in a uniform format across the organization. Over 500 unique contact entries have been created in multiple directories within the app.

Users can review their personal schedules as well as those of their colleagues. Scheduling information is updated hourly to accurate reflect any changes.
